About the Farm

Our coconut farm is located in Albay, a province in the central Philippines. Situated along the foothills of the Mayon Volcano, dubbed as the world’s perfect volcanic cone, the soils of Albay are known to be rich and fertile. The farm, which is approximately over 160 hectares, has been organically certified by USDA, Japan, and the European Union through a community grower group.

Our Purpose & Mission

Quality at its Best!

We provide the highest-quality and nutritious plant-powered specialty ingredients that are carefully hand-selected and hand harvested. We partner with community farmers and processors from different islands in the Philippines to develop and deliver these nutrient-filled and sustainable ingredients that enhance consumers’ well-being, preserve the environment, and support community farmers’ livelihoods.

Ethical Alliances

We believe in practicing fair, ethical, practical and holistic business with our vendor partners, customers, associates, farmers, investors, staff, and other stakeholders to create a healthy and rewarding business environment.

Social Impact

We uphold socially responsible practices in agricultural production and all stages of processing methods. We promote safe working conditions, farmers’/workers’ rights and their families’ access to health and education, local and regional impacts, community engagement, and economic stability.

Our “Hatching” Story

For many generations, many coconut farmers in the Philippines have only traditionally produced copra, the dried meat or kernel of the coconut. The lack of capital, technology, and knowledge have impeded them to learn new production and processing methods and take advantage of the growing global demand for coconut by-products.

Hatchgrove was established to provide much-needed support to local coconut farmers and community growers. We worked with coconut farmers and farm owners in Albay, a province located in central Philippines known for its rich volcanic soil, and introduced new products, including never-heated virgin coconut oil, which underwent a process that retains natural nutrients and inherent anti-oxidants of the coconut. We provided the farmers critical farm-to-market access through research and development, technical training, certification, consolidation, and promotions.

Farming Network

Through the years, we have built relationships with community grower groups and formed alliances several farming groups across the Philippines. We have partnered with coconut farmers and processors. The products and ingredients we have developed in collaboration with community farmer groups are currently used in food and beverage companies in the United States, Australia, and Europe. We continue to carry the Hatchgrove seal of quality, nutrition, responsibility, and sustainability across the range of fresh, organic, and all-natural specialty coconut and other plant-powered products.
